Fans have been eagerly waiting for Slaughterhouse to announce some sort of news about their major label sophomore album Glasshouse but they keep getting disappointed every year. Royce did us a favor when he dropped a Slaughterhouse song ‘Chopping Block‘ as part of his Bar Exam 4 project, the first song from all four (Joe Budden, Royce 5’9″, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I) in almost two years. But that wasn’t enough.
After KXNG Crooked posted a heartfelt Instagram post praising Slaughterhouse fans and despairing about the purgatorial state of Glass House, Joe Budden took to Everyday Struggle to address the state of the project.
According to the veteran emcee, Glasshouse was completed in 2012 and contains production work by Just Blaze, araabMUZIK, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, !llmind and Cardiak. But while the group is not dead, Joey doesn’t expect Glass House to see the light of day anytime soon—that is, of course, unless he decides to leak the project.
“When they talk about this album today, it’s an old album,” said Budden. “It may or may not be dated, it may or may not sound dated, I don’t know. Because it’s not out. I have this album on my computer and I’ll leak it. If they keep talking about this shit, I will leak the shit.”
Watch Joe speak on it below. Glasshouse is the first topic of discussion.
