$10,000 Tupac Artwork Lawsuit Finally Settled By Birdman

Birdman is able to put an end to one of his legal battles. The Cash Money Records co-founder settled a lawsuit out of court, halting a dispute over a piece of Tupac artwork.

According to The Jasmine Brand, the Cash Money CEO settled his dispute with contemporary artist Leonor Anthony who sued him for failure to pay $10,000 for two original artworks he purchased from her, including one called “Tupac”. However, Anthony recently has filed court documents to dismiss all claims against Birdman without the options of refiling.

In March, Anthony won a default judgment against Birdman (who didn’t show up to court) in the amount of $10,000 for the unpaid balance, plus $407.74 in interest. When Baby still wouldn’t pay, the judge ordered Florida state sheriffs to slap a levy against his luxury Miami condo.

Pleading that he wasn’t aware of the court order, he appeared in court to get the judge to not find him in contempt and give him a chance to respond to the allegations. Now, Anthony has filed to dismiss the case, explaining that the case will soon be closed without the option of refiling.

Lil Wayne out here looking for $51 million while Birdman struggles to handle $10,000 lawsuits… Hhmmm.
